Wise Words
Isn’t it fun to unwrap a gift? A bit of excitement… a bit of joy… the feeling of appreciation. Well, every time you give someone a compliment, it’s just like that! This week our goal is to give out compliments! Whether you are handing them out to family, friends, or strangers… find something to compliment them on.
“Your little one is so well behaved!”, “Your outfit is beautiful!”, “The meal was awesome”, “The service is terrific!”… there are endless ways to present someone a compliment, and an endless supply of compliments to give within each of us. In the end, you’ll feel great saying it, and they will feel great receiving it!
“It was wonderful of you to stop by today and read this!”… There you go! A compliment for you today! Now… go give one to someone else. Have fun!!!

This week we’re going to pass out free hugs. Not that hugs every really cost anything anyway… but it sounds cuter that way.
The cool thing about passing out hugs is that you can do it in different ways! You can literally give someone an embrace, you can text someone a hug ((hug)), and you can even spell it out in a letter or email.
The great things about hugs are that usually they are contagious! I give you a hug, you give someone else a hug… and pretty soon the whole world is sharing an embrace of some sort! Plus… you get a great feeling when you give or receive a hug! The energy around you gets more positive, and you actually feel better! Hugs can brighten a bad day… make a person feel better… show gratitude… give affection… there are endless reasons to give a hug. Best of all hugs are like universal currency and accepted almost everywhere!
So I’ll start off…. ((hugs))
Your turn!
Showing appreciation is such a simple way to make an impact on someone. We often take things in life for granted. The meal our mom cooked, someone holding the door open when our hands are full, the person at the drive-thru window, our children’s teacher, or the person delivering our mail every day.
This week, be conscious of the little things that you might not normally show appreciation for — and express your appreciation. It only takes a few seconds — but you might brighten the day of someone!
“Thank you so much for visiting Love Rally today!” See? Feels nice, doesn’t it?
