I am sooooo excited about this months Mission!!  Here in the U.S. November is the month we celebrate Thanksgiving and our Veterans… so this Love Rally is all encompassing!

I came across an amazing story about a man named Ed Roshitsh who runs (literally) across the U.S.  to raise money and awareness for House of Heroes  (a Columbus, GA based 501c3 that helps veterans, public safety workers and their spouses with home renovation and repairs).  Ed ran this marathon this Spring and is preparing to run it again in March of 2012.  The run stretches from San Francisco all the way to Savannah, GA!  Get this… it starts on March 1, 2011 and ends a couple months later on Memorial Day!  Now that is some determination, dedication, and hard work!

I think Ed and his team need our support!!!!!!!  This is the perfect Love Rally because it supports and expresses gratitude for someone special AND shows appreciation and honors our Vets!  When Ed ran across the Country in the Spring of 2011, he received a ton of support.  I read on his blog about people along the route who shouted well wishes, about Vets who flagged his team down along the way to say thank you and donate money, about the news coverage, and many car horn beeps of support.  He raised $10,000 for House of Heroes!  A stress fracture cut his 2011 run a bit short (in Alabama) but that’s not stopping Ed!   It appears that he has a great support system and a dedicated team along side of him and I wish him all the best as he is now preparing for his Spring 2012 run!
